Traveling
My passion for travel and nature began when I was a child, staring out the window and imagining what life looked like beyond my hometown. That early curiosity slowly grew into a desire to understand the world more deeply, which led me to study International Relations and explore the histories and stories behind different countries and cultures. Today, as an Erasmus+ exchange student in Denmark, I am finally experiencing those stories firsthand—walking through unfamiliar streets, meeting people from across the globe, and witnessing the beauty of diversity up close. Each journey reveals something new about the world and also about myself. Through travel and nature, I’ve discovered that exploration isn’t just about reaching new destinations; it’s about opening your heart to new perspectives and embracing the endless ways life can unfold.
Reading
Reading has always been more than a hobby for me—it is a lifelong passion and a lens through which I experience the world. From the earliest days when I would get lost in the pages of picture books and story collections, I discovered the joy of imagination and the thrill of learning. As I grew older, my interests expanded to include a wide variety of genres, from historical accounts and biographies to novels, essays, and travel literature. Each book offers a unique perspective, providing insights into different cultures, ways of thinking, and human experiences that I might never encounter firsthand.
For me, reading is both a personal escape and a tool for growth. It allows me to pause, reflect, and explore complex ideas at my own pace. Through books, I can traverse continents, live different lives, and witness history unfold, all while sitting in one quiet corner of the world. Travel literature, in particular, has shaped my understanding of the places I love, giving me context for the destinations I visit and inspiring a deeper appreciation for the people, traditions, and stories that define them. Fiction fuels my creativity, teaching me empathy and encouraging me to see the world through others’ eyes, while non-fiction informs my knowledge and perspective, helping me make sense of the world around me.
